van Dongen named COO of Mid America Motorworks
Effingham, Ill. – Mid America Motorworks, marketer and manufacturer of Corvette and Air-Cooled Volkswagen parts and accessories, announced the promotion of Henk van Dongen as the Chief Operating Officer. Henk joined Mid America Motorworks in August of 2009 as the Vice-President of Marketing.
Henk has almost two decades of automotive aftermarket experience in a multi-channel environment experience. Prior to joining Mid America Motorworks, he was the Vice-President of Marketing for Transamerican Auto Parts/4Wheel Drive Hardware, a $600 million off-road & performance company with over 60 stores, catalogs and websites. Henk’s career includes companies from $20 million to $600+ million in revenue that range from automotive restoration, internet start-up, collectibles, and off road & performance, with companies like Eastwood, The Franklin Mint, Quadratec and Transamerican Auto Parts.
Born and educated in the Netherlands, Henk van Dongen has a bachelor’s degree in International Marketing Management from the Higher Economic & Administrative Education in Breda, the Netherlands.
Later in 2010 Henk, his wife and four children will be moving into their new home, just outside of Dieterich, Ill.
