Effingham, Ill. – Mid America Motorworks continues expanding its line of original equipment offerings for Air-Cooled Volkswagen with the OEM engine compartment lid seal. A leader in aftermarket parts and accessories, Mid America Motorworks is one of the only companies providing the OEM engine compartment lid seal for 1972-1979 Buses in the United States at this time.

The OEM engine compartment lid seal is made in Germany and comes as one complete piece. Other seals currently available in the U.S. come in four pieces. OEM refers to Original Equipment Manufacturer, an indication that the quality of this part is very close to the original seal. Mid America Motorworks began using OEM, REP and VAL distinctions in 2011 to give customers a better idea of the parts they should choose for their VW projects.
